A-Body Master Cylinder upgrade/ update?
A-Body Master Cylinder upgrade/ update? Anyone with a 70s GM A Body with 4 wheel disc, upgraded their master cylinder to a more standard plastic reservoir from a newer vehicle?? I was wondering if anyone has done that and what did they have to do. I know master cylinders would have different pressure ratings for brakes so I'm not sure if it can be done with crazy modifications.

Most master cylinders work at similar pressures for the diameter of cylinder.
I would be more concerned with the diameter required for your particular application than operating pressure.

I did the Get Disc brake kit and did the older GM disc brake swap. I then swapped my front for a C5 Corvette knuckle, hub, rotor and caliper. Did you use the Chevelle booster or the camaro booster? What type of modification was needed. I asked this question on a olds forum and a guy said he used a late 80s Dodge D100 and made the mounting holes a little bigger.
