E38 ECU to LS1
E38 ECU to LS1 Hi all,
I think I'm in trouble...!! Here's what I've got:
2007 Gen IV 5.3 LH6
Stripped 2007 2wd 2007 GMC Sierra wiring harness
E38 ECU
LS1 intake
LS1 DBW Throttle body (99-02)
Car throttle pedal (gen IV)
I know this gets asked a lot, but there are so many combinations, and it's confusing!! I think the pedal will wire right into the ECU, without a TAC. The wiring from the ECU sure seems to match that of the pedal connector.
The big question....will the LS1 throttle body work with the E38 ECU?? Anyone done this??

I've seen where guys have used the silver 90mm TB using an 0411 ECU, but that required a special adapter harness. I'm not sure I've seen it done how you are proposing, but I'm sure that you could do it if it is wired correctly. However, you would be much better off getting a TB that will work with your ECU than trying to reverse engineer the older TB. You can get a 3 to 4 bolt throttlebody adapter on ebay for around $20 bucks and probably find 10 TB's that would work at a JY. Or even post a wanted add here and I'm sure guys will almost give you one.
