Holley has an A/C compressor relocation kit that will work with your factory setup, whether it be Vette, Gen 4 F body, or truck/late F body.

That's for an entire setup. They have a kit that keeps the stock setup but relocates the compressor to the upper passenger side and uses the same belt as everything else. Lists for about $665 on the Holley site under high mount A/C drive kits. Includes compressor, tensioner, pulleys, and mounting bracket.

I'm running the 1999 GMC Sierra truck front engine accessory drive on my 70 A-body El Camino. Fits perfectly. Truck water pump, truck intake and throttle body, drivers side alternator and power steering pump, passenger side low truck air conditioning compressor.

This should be a nearly free set up if grabbed from a junk yard but there will likely be other ripple effects here with fuel rails, injectors and injector connector wiring. I also needed an inexpensive AC compressor adapter for the hoses to buy me some space away from my Hooker headers.

Edit: the truck intake sits high. My cowl induction hood closes, not a problem . . . but not if I want any kind of engine cover on top. But I think a normal hood should have no problem here.

I'm going to look into that kit G Atsma, just wanted to see if anyone out there has a kit that worked well for them, without spending 2-3k on brackets at what not? $600 is reasonable

Look at ICTBillet. They make several different combinations and are very reasonably priced. I've used many of their products and have been very happy with the fit and quality. I recently saw one of their setups at a Goodguys car show that was painted gloss black and it looked great.
