Default Rad hoses for LQ4 swap

Hi All -

Im being a little lazy here - what rad hoses will work w/ a LQ4 in a 79 firebird/TA? Im using the OEM 4 core rad and the truck water pump for now.

Thanks in advance!

A search should turn up a thread concerning this exact question. I remember it from the past year or so.

The OEM Firebird radiator won't have the small nipple for the coolant crossover (steam vent) hose. I just drilled and tapped the pump to return the coolant to the system using a "R" size drill bit and a 1/8" NPT tap along with a 1/4" barbed 1/8th" NPT nipple. You can cut the upper radiator hose in half and run an adapter with the nipple but it's not very aesthetic with the extra hose clamps and steam hose right up top where eyes first hit popping the hood.
