Thanks for the reply! The pcm adapter looks like avery well made piece. The black flat plate looks like some sort of drill quide to adapt the ls flexplate for the proper alignment. Haven't mated them together to sort out proper converter distance, but that and the whole controller scanario is next. I'm undecided on whick way to go.... be it turbo lamik or the can tcu. either way i have to swap the mechatronics unit. I was kinda hoping that I could feed it all the Jaguar signals and maybe just maybe I could get the jaguar components to control the trans. At any rate thanks for the input!
The stock TCU inside the transmission will be looking for a CAN connection to the stock Jaguar ECU. Without that connection, it isn't going to do anything. At the very least you will have to do something like the CANTCU or if you want ultimate control, then the TurboLamik is the way to go.

I am still on the fence about the ecm that I'm going to use. Have several options.For now the jaguar ecm will stay, and I have gone through the engine harness to clean up the unnecessary things. Want to keep it as factory as possible, but I'm not opposed to ripping it all out if it dosent work correctly. The pmc adapter did in fact mate the LT engine that I have to the 8hp. Was able to reuse driveshaft and all. Engine placment is awesome with plenty of room. However i'm hoping this older can system will play nicer than my 20 mustang that I swapped. "Fingers crossed"

With that combination of parts, I would do the Holley Terminator X Max with the GDI controller and a TurboLamik TCU for the transmission.
Hey, I can help with this. I have an 8hp70 on my LS2 in my Miata. I am using one from a 2014 Jaguar XFR-S but it is basically the same as yours. The adapter plate came from PMC, it has a template to drill the LS flex plate to match the Jag TQ converter. For the computer I used a stand alone from TurboLamik, it is a serious piece and cost me 2x as much as my Holley Terminator X but now I have an "e-clutch", transbrake, multiple selectable programs and full tuneability. I don't see why this wouldn't be a relatively easy swap in your car. How does your awd work? Turbolamik was working on servo control for the bmw variant but I know Land Rover uses a basic torsen setup that is very easy to implement.

You will need the Box from the 3.0D GX63-7000-BA and its converter. Use with Flex plate 12654640 & PMC kit.

Found one, the concave type that might be coming up is wrong. It’s the rebated plate type .
This is correct type in my engine build picture with PMC adapter for Jaguar 3.0D 8HP70 conversion. Sorry it’s only one I have showing the flex plate, hope it’s enough. (Edit, this us already drilled for the Jag converter )
