Default 96 firebird 3.8 auto / to ls1 swap help

I need help ! So far this is where i am at.
my son has a 96 3.8 firebird auto transmission i swapped to
ls1 , 4l60 ,engine harness and pcm out of a 98 camaro.. i also took the entire body harness from headlight to taillight out of a 2001 ws6
Here is my dilema , the ws6 was a 6 speed and sons car is auto . Every thing is in dash is powered all light working but in the ws6 body harness there is no wiring plug ins to the auto console and the fuel pump wont turn on even know it has 12 volts and starter wont kick even though it has juice ( i know cause i did the ol screw driver jump and it turned the motor just fine . no security lights on so not vats i assume , please help me guys/girls , is there some safety signal the car isnt getting ? Has anyone gone manual to auto that can help? side note bcm and everything came from the ws6 6 speed body harness , so no interchanging the electronics at all just to keep it simple . thanks for any and all help !!!!!

I just swapped my 1998 v6 / auto to a ls1 / manual, but just to get your order straight:

Originally a 1996 3.8l V6 / Auto
Powertrain, engine harness and PCM from a 1998 LS1 / Auto
Body harness from a 2001 LS1 / Manual

Glad to hear you got the crank going. As far as I know (which isn't a lot) there shouldn't be anything on the transmission wiring side that wouldn't let the fuel pump prime. Going back to square one, is the fuel pump fuse and relay operational? Can you switch the relay with another one that you know is good?

The 1998 PCM is much different than the 1999-2002 PCMs, and generally the 1998 PCM needs re-pinning to work in a 1999-2002 body harness. I am not sure if those wiring differences include anything to do with the fuel pump signal.

Are you still running the 1996 style dash and gauge cluster?

running 2001 guage cluster and 2001 body harness. so used a power probe applied 12 volts to red # 9 . fuel pump turned on so from the ecu to the fuel pump is good now i need to see what gives the ecu the ok to give the signal , i love this power probe by the way .
