Since you want new, I would check IF the LY6 is available as a crate engine since it is approved for heavy duty use (2500 series and up GM trucks).
The L96 replaced the LY6 in the lineup and added flex fuel capability. Otherwise the same animal. It should fit, but use your external parts so it all works.

just found a recent thread of a guy doing a few, he said everything worked but ran rich, so he put ly6 injectors back in and code went away, my mechanic told me we will tune it for l96 flex fuel injectors and leave them.

Yeah, just checked and found out that the VIN has n which indicates an LQ9. I've always been surprised by the fact of how much you can learn about a car just by checking its VIN code. The VIN number tells you when and where the car was built. It tells you the manufacturer, year, make and model, and trim level including unique features and specifications. Your car's VIN number can be used to track recalls, registrations, warranty claims, thefts, and insurance coverage. It is a perfect way to buy a used car by just checking its VIN code with a decoder like those included in this website. Have you ever decoded your VIN?
