58x to 28x
Have a 2005 isuzu npr with lq4, having nothing but troubles with rebuilds for my fleet. Only brand new crate engine 6.0 I can find is a l96. What would it take to put it in the 05 with 24x? I don’t want rebuild I want to go with a new crate motor.

You might look into WHY it's getting hot. Losing coolant? Radiator blocked?
Isuzu and GM worked at making the combo work. Something else is going on here.

So I have about 5 of these with the 6.0 4l80e from 2005 to 2008. The one that just spun a rod bearing we just took down last month to change rear main seal because leaking, we changed the whole rear Main seal cover and front cover with seal. All gm parts, thermostat, water pump, gaskets. Pressure tested it was fine, put it back in service runs fine for a month, runs hot month later and spins rod bearing. Bad thing is on these trucks they run a lot, so hard to keep an eye on drips. After we got it back we pressure tested it again and found a small leak in thermostat housing seal that was just put back together. Yes I agree they should have checked it twice a day but this was our busy season, the only guage really in the npr is a temp guage. By the time that guage moves past normal it’s too late and motor is already boiling over. In all of my sprinters when the fluid is a quart low it throws a huge light and we add which is maybe once a year, what can I do to prevent this from happening again? Is there a guage with an alarm for oil pressure and water temp? I get it’s hard to make 30 delivers all across small towns while monitoring this all the time. Thanks

Its pretty easy to add a temp switch to the cooling system that can activate a "Message from god" if it gets hot,
I used to take care of some fleet rigs, we got tired of the "I didn't notice the gage excuse" , Installed a switch a
relay a 4" red light on the dash and a LOUD car horn under the front seat. There is a un-used temperature port on
most ls family on the rear passenger side opposite of the one on the front driver side. Oh and there was a matching
4" light for OIL pressure...
