Hello I am new at LS Swapping and I am putting a 5.3 w/ 4L60e into a 68 El Camino. I am in the process of wiring it up and I came across a yellow wire which I believe goes to the ignition coil. Where does this wire go in the swap?
That looks like some of the stock 68 wiring. The purple wire typically is the start wire that goes from ignition switch or neutral safety switch to the starter. The yellow wire might be the wire that runs from the starter up to the coil. Best to find a wiring diagram for your 68. With that it should be pretty easy to figure it out.
