Default L94 to Buick 455 engine mounts

Hey folks.

feel like I’m going in circles trying to figure out motor mounts.

Swapping a 2010 L94 into a Buick is hard enough. Hell. Working on a Buick is hard enough. But adding in the word ‘Riviera’ and then the numbers 1971 creates a whole new world of hurt.

Anyway. I’m trying to source a mounting solution. One that’s as easy as possible.

Have any ideas? My ideal would be an adapter plate and the stock Buick 455 mounts. Again for ease.

I hate to tell you this, but you are most likely going to have to fabricate mounts to make this work. Any oddball vehicle is going to create headaches when it comes to mounting. You may be able to make some kind of off the shelf mount work with additional fabrication, but to have a bolt in solution seems very unlikely. I’d buy generic SBC Holley. clamshells swap stuf and drill it being it’s a oddball swap

The 71 Riviera is a B-body, so look up what guys do when doing 71 Impala swaps.

The Riviera is an E Body. How much that differs upfront is unclear.

Ultimately any Buick 455 solution would work, GS455 or Skylark 455. But Buick mounts and frame pads are different than Chevrolet.

Easiest is adjustable block mounts and then new buick pads to the block. So you can move the block where it needs to be.
