Default Carb size help

Any suggestions on carb? Leaning towards AED. Will a 750 be enough?

2006 lq4 .020 over
243 heads milled .020
222/234 .600/.600 110lsa
Holley mid rise single plane
1 7/8 headers, duels with H pipe
Msd 6014
3500 stall
3.73
3800 lbs truck
weekend cruiser and drag strip a few times a year

750 is plenty. I had a 427 big block with 520hp/540tq at the flywheel and we put it on an engine dyno with a 750 cfm holley with milled choke horn, and it put out those numbers. Later, I put a pro systems 950 race carb on it and picked up zero at the track. Not saying this to knock Pro Systems. They build awesome stuff and are top of the line. Just pointing out that with my combo, which I only turned to like 5800, it just didn't need any more carb.

I think you'd be better off with a dual plane, like the Edelbrock performer RPM.

Are you going with a 4150 or 4160 style carb?

already have the intake so I hope it works ok. 4150 style carb

Well, with the 3.73s and the 3500 converter, it will work just fine at the track. I think the dual plane would be an advantage on the street and you probably wouldn't lose anything at the track. But since you have it, go for it, and it's not a big enough difference that you'd want to switch. I mean, it sounds like a fun street build that you want to have some fun with at the track now and then, not chasing every tenth.

For myself, since I always end up just racing my cars, single plane and 4150 is the way I would always go. Plus, if you want to run a healthy shot of nitrous or a turbo eventually, the single plane is good for that, too.
