4.8LS swap with 700R4 no power
Not offended at all. Sorry if I came across as "aggressive"... Here's another site that has relevant information; https://www.bowtieoverdrives.com/Ins...s/TV_101-1.pdf
though it does not go into setting up the geometry on the intake side...
This guy does a pretty good job of discussing angles, distance, lengths, and what-not for setting up the carb/throttle body connection; https://purplesagetradingpost.com/su...o/700R4p1.html
Have fun and enjoy your project!

just wanted to give everyone an update, we re adjusted the TV cable, added a new MAF and new radiator. Haven’t changed much still lacks a decent amount of power for an LS. We pulled spark plugs to check for compression and they were brand new spark plugs probably 10 miles if not less on then and they were oil Fowled pretty bad. Compression test came back very well for a motor with 140k on it. I’m thinking leaking valve seals. We’re going to get the motor apart and will update you from there.
Hello, I just wanted to give everybody an update...
we did a compression test and everything came back great, lots of compression. but we did find the spark plugs are oil fowled with probably less than 10 miles since we put them in.
upon further testing the TV cable was readjusted and shifts are great and how they should be. but there is still a decent lack in power. due to the fowled spark plugs we are going to assume we probably have some bad valve seals. during a test drive we also found we have a pretty significant transmission leak so we are going to pull the motor and transmission and start a tear down. the transmission is going to get built just for reliability reasons and were going to make sure we don't have any significant motor troubles. while we have the motor apart I plan to install a cam and new top end internals. at this point I dont have the money to buy a nice tuner to get you any data logs but I should be able to get one in the near future. if there are any recommendations or concerns please let me know I am all ears. anything helps.
I wish I could post videos so I can show you what we are dealing with at the moment but I dont seem to have the ability to do that.
