370ci GEN3 6.0L LQ9 being built, forged rods/pistons, then for sale. 24x or 58x??????
So, my builder (LS guru) is using my old GenIII 6.0L LQ9 iron block (perfect condition) to build a new 370ci. He can set it up either way....24 or 58. With a stock crank, brand new forged rods and brand new forged pistons. .040" fresh bore/hone. All new bearings, push rods, lifters, rings, oil pump ported by him, blah, blah, blah.....
What's the consensus on which will be better to sell, 24x or 58x reluctor wheel? One that will sell faster.
He also has pretty much every type of LS style head to add and cam in case anyone wants a long block, but for now is GenIII or GenIV set up preferred?

I think you'll find that your answers for the 24 vs. 58 will be pretty split down the middle. If it was my engine though, I'd put a 58x ring in it for the fact that someone can use a conversion box to output 24x, but not the other way around. And you'll also find the same answers with the square port vs cathedral port haha. But again, if it was mine, I'd go square port because they would easily accept an LSA supercharger, or LS3 intake.

But, my old block is what he's using to build this new 370ci. Boring and honing it to .040". He's building it regardless he just wanted me to ask what most prefer so he can do what you said, build it for the customer.
ryeguy2006a........his post is a great idea, just go 58x and then someone can do 24x if they want to.
