Not sure if this is the correct sub forum, but posted my swap questions here, so hope the moderators if a better forum.
I am installing a Sanden 508 AC compressor on my 5.3 swap. My bracket kit, specifies a 7-8 grove serpentine belt. The Sanden I have has a single V groove.
is there a YouTube video or pics, on how to change out the pulley/clutch ?
I had a similar problem where I had 2 V belt grooves and needed to go to 6 serpentine grooves and Sanden only made 7 groove ones for my compressor.. I ended up machining the 2V belt to 6 serpentine.

BTW, I noticed in the service guide something about that compressor was for R12. Not sure though.
Looks like I am heading down the same path. Where did you find the 7 grove pullies ?
if you had a 6 grove belt, & a 7 grove pulley, why could you choose 6 of the 7 groves that alighned with the serpentine belt ?
I used a Range Rover power steering pulley. Cut the inside of it out and friction fit it to the machined V belt part. It was 7 tooth. I took 1 tooth off because the rest of my setup is 6 teeth and that way there is no chance for it to cross over 1 tooth. The edge of the first tooth is actually the original V belt pulley. I put 4 tack welds to keep it in place.
