Did finally make a little time to try and get back on track on the Olds. Made a revised version of the trans tunnel and getting that a little closer to being an actual complete unit. Also got the first panel made for the rear firewall behind the seat. Thought the first panel turned out pretty well for a novice fabricator.

Got started on the front portion of the trunk floor this week just trying to get it all laid out. Haven’t come up with a great plan for the rear section yet as I don’t want to weld to the inside of the quarters or rear panel anywhere as I don’t want to have to mess with paint. Thinking maybe trying to panel bond some flanges to the them that will allow me to attach the floor to them.

Little bit of progress made on the trunk floor. Got the subframe pretty much all welded together. Just needs to be cleaned up a little and starting to get the panels laid out and made to finish it off. First time trying to fabricate anything this substantial so it’s been a slow process of trial and error.

Small update. Haven’t done much on it over the winter but weather is starting to get nicer so getting back out into the garage some. Picked up a couple versions of the wheel I think I’m going to use. They are US Mag Ramblers. Wanted to see what the full polished looked like compared to the textured grey and polished barrel. Also test fitting the rear tire to see what I have to do to make it fit. Think we’ve settled on the full polished wheel. 18x8 front 18x10 rear.

Need to work the inner wheel well a little bit on the front side of the rears to gain some clearance but other then that they look like they will fit.
