Didnīt Matt Happel have a noise similar to that and it ended up being a bad lifter?

I hear that’s generally what a non-accessory “chirp” is. Not super excited about it! lol We’ll see. Putting a new exhaust on it now. So it’ll be quietish up front now. Maybe I’ll be able to tell what bank its coming from at least.

I went with dual 2.5 to a single spintech muffler with dual in/outs. It quieted it down some. But its still obnoxious. I’ll need to go up and over the axle to another muffler setup of some sort. Kills me to add all this weight!

I had a spintech on my truck. With stock manifolds and going out the stock location, it was perfect. Once I went to LTs the sound increased dramatically.

Lifter noise seems to have gone away...

Was able to fit a stamped SS 1998 Fbody driver side manifold and a standard truck manifold on the pass side. Then ran dual 2.5" back to a dual in dual out spintech. Was still too obnoxious to drive. Continued up and over the axles with 2.5” to a pair of SLP Loud Mouth II “turbo style” mufflers. Finally quieted it down enough to drive IMO. Will have a better video with some WOT fun soon, I know this ones pretty bad.

Having a bit of bad luck lately. Left the bat on and it drained it 100%. Then when I charged it it wiped the ECU firmware and I couldn't reload it. Had to send it back in. EFI SOURCE was great FWIW. Only charged me $25 and shipping to fix it and did it quickly. Immediate response and support as well.

Guessing something odd happened with the coils at that time too maybe. As #2 and #4 aren't firing. Problem follows the coils, So I have a new OEM set on order. Once I have that squared away, I hope to grab some passes.

Guess they are pretty sensitive to having the voltage drained all the way down over several days. I've had dead bats before on my MS stuff and never had an issue. But I also put it on a big bat charger with a totally dead bat. Also a "no no".

thats weird and probably quite frustrating. if it dies from a dead battery cant it die from being unplugged too? i can see the big charger or weird alternators causing problems but just being powered off and the battery dying is weird. even if it was powered on and slowly lost voltage i cant really think of how that can damage things. really makes me curious.

It has to do with the charging and not the draining
