Default 1967 Biscayne carbed ls3 swap

Hi everyone,
im just finishing up this LS swap and I wanted to share what I did. I started with my 67 biscayne sedan which already had a good running 350/tremec tkx. I found a locked up 6.2 for 200$ and I took a chance on it. A valve seat had came loose and it had wrecked a piston and head. So I did a rebuild at home over the summer with a junkyard head and a new rod/ piston.
I used standard sbc adapter plates with the engine installed in the stock location.

for the oil pan, I bought one of these scratch and dent fabricated pans from eBay for 100$. And I cut and welded a 2” tall x 1” deep notch for steering link clearance. Thats a very common pan that summit and speedway motors sell as as their house brand LS pan.

…..

Default Headers

The headers were unbranded from eBay. They are swap headers for 67 Camaros and novas. They are also identical to speed engineering swap headers. I’m almost positive they come from the same manufacturer, just sold through different distributors. If you had an automatic, they would be perfect, but I had to cut and re-weld the lower arm on my z-bar for header clearance. The arm is moved inboard about an inch. And I had to ding the headers in a few places for clutch rod clearance

I went a little bit against the grain and I used a mechanical fan. The fan blade and clutch are from a 96 ford ranger with a 4.0. That fan blade has a little smaller diameter compared to the factory gen3 truck fan blades and it fit my fan shroud a little better

Here’s a part number for the fan shroud if anyone is interested

I mounted my msd6014 to an adapter plate I made. It’s tucked right behind the grill.

Here’s the tremec tkx getting ready to go back in

Very nice. Thanks for posting. My LM7 with an Autogear M23Z is so much fun to drive.
