Default 5.3LS swap into C5 corvette

I'm doing a 5.3 swap into my 1998 C5 corvette with an already completed engine aside from fuel rails and injectors so I don't plan to just use an LS1 like most people suggest. I've been looking everywhere for information on if the main engine bay wiring harness will directly plug into a 5.3 or if I will need to buy LS1 to 5.3 adapters. Can someone please let me know and if I need adapters can you tell me what type. Thank you

WHICH Gen IV 5.3??
LY5, LC9, LH6, LH8, LH9, LMF, LMG??
Some are VVT, some AFM/DOD, or both, or neither.
It is VERY important to know the differences.

I believe it should be LC9 but I'm not entirely sure how to tell I just purchased it 2 days ago. I'll drop the information about it. It does mention a DoD delete kit so maybe that'll help to find out? I also did have to purchase a linkinfeltor 58x to 24x if that helps at all as well.

Sooo... you didn't bother to check whether it had the 24x or 58x reluctor, seeing as how you have a car that needs the 24x??

This is the first time I've worked on a car and I'm doing so with minimal help. When I went to purchase the engine from the shop that specializes in LS swaps. The mechanic told me I'd need the " Lingenfelter TRG-002 LSX ENGINE 58X TO 24X TRIGGER WHEEL CONVERSION CONTROL MODULE" Because he had done one of these before. That's why I was just curious if I dropped this engine straight into the car if the engine bay wiring harness would simply plug in since he mentioned some other electric part I needed for conversion.

Your C5 was wired for the cam sensor in the back of the engine. Your new engine has the cam sensor in the front. With a quick search you can find the adapter harness that will plug into your existing harness. It looks like an extension harness but it also flips the wires as the LS1 and LS2/LS3 cam sensor are wired differently.

Gen 4 is not going to plug right in....need cam sensor extension and a 58x-24x converter.

I hope you got a parts list, head gasket? Seller can't list something as plural as in 2 gaskets
what cam? What springs? What pump? Which texas speed push rods? What sensor? You get the point? I'd ask for name brands of every single part that's listed with part numbers, trust me ive made this mistake before and lots of parts weren't What they were supposed to be or were cheap ebay/amazon knock offs. Not trying to discourage you but you have to ask these questions when purchasing stuff like this.

Sorry to say i never did finish this project. Im in the military and got deployed so i had to sell both the frame and engine before finishing.

That will work fine, just drill and tap the drivers side ear on the block for a Metric M10x1.5 Bolt. That's if you want to run C5 Corvette Accessories on the front of the Engine.

Would be the same thing, Gen III stuff.

I get the deployment stuff tho, I did Iraq 2004, 2006, 2008-09, 2010. Deployment money built some cars..
