Datsun 260Z LSA Swap
),Some small updates.
i have started with the frame rails that are higher in profile and goes front to rear, they will be 45mm in front and slope down to 25mm in rear.
I also doing "inverted" rails inside the car that are 20mm high, just to rise the profile of the frame rail(i think the inspection like that).
Have a nice day

inside frame rails
frame rails are done and also some reinforcement to the transmission mount, inspector wants it).
He will visit June 16 for the first inspection and after that i have five years to build for the final inspection were he wants to see a working vehicle.
i also start with the carpet and sound deadening as i wait for him.
Clutch is in the mail and only waiting for the half shafts to be made
.A new props shaft is made, for the first time i bought a new one instead of building my self(want a proper made one

...We have three "stages" of modified registrations:
: simple registration, engine swap 15kw up in hp, if you mount a hitch, auto to manual and some other relatively simple mods, you will keep build date and regulations for that year.
:modified is next, when doing this you have to some bigger modifications. engine, transmission, brakes and rear end mods, good thing is that HP rises to 15kw/100 kg weight, you also keep emission from the year of the vehicle but they will be happy if you have catalytic converters.
: next step is were you build your own vehicle but then you will have completely new vehicle when it comes to model year and so on, there are some easier regulations when it comes to emissions and lightning and some other things.
This is roughly how it works so my Datsun will be "modified"
Have a nice day

I forgott: if your car is older than 50 years or older and have a valid inspection you dont have to visit until december 2099

I got my first inspection cleared with some minor things to fix so now i have five years to finish the build (he wanted to see me at the end of August
) .With that done i was able to pain all the weld, start interior work and mount the Datsun back up again, sooooo, it's done just waiting for my half shafts.
The half shafts is actually the only thing that keeps me from a test run.
Brakes, clutch are bled, emergency brake mounted, it's pretty much only interior work that has to be done
Cheers

,As my ECU doesn't seems to handle PWM controlled fans i got introduced to a new world, Arduino uno.
I only have High/low in my ECU so to run my expensive Corvette C7 fan i have to buy an Arduino uno to solve this problem.
This is a completely new world for me so this would be a side project to get it to run on high and low.
Thanks

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time

i have tried that with help from some guys at HPT but with no luck.
i programmed the Aurdino with some ramp up so it behaves pretty good.

.the only stupid thing was that some idiot(ME.........) put the bleeder exactly were the collector for the headers were.............

,As i'm waiting for my half shaft i'm doing stuff that,s not necessary ...........
removing bosses from the lid and valve covers to make a more "clean" look
.Grinding, grinding and some more grinding to make a bit cleaner.
They will be painted semi gloss black when the paint arrives.

As i'm still waiting for my half shafts i took the time to do things as for me always get neglected when it comes to a test run........(to enthusiastic) i had the time to do some interior work, sound deadening and reinforcement at the rear.
Hopefully the shafts will arrive in early October so it's close.
The rear reinforcement consists of triangulation of the control arm and the body, it is a flat iron thats just pointing downwards and i can feel that when taking a corner at speed(flexing a bit).
And i was at IKEA and bought a bunch of owen(?) thermometers to keep track of heat in the engine bay(cheap solution

Really impressive build you’ve got going here. We went through the whole thread, and it’s clear you’ve put a ton of work into this project. Excited to see where it goes. Keep the updates coming, we’ll definitely be following along!
it's a little hard to understand what's going on under the rear end - would be interested in seeing some wider view pics - more overall area.
