Lt1 in 95 OBS My buddy picked up a lt1 and trans from a 16 camaro(I think) and wants me to plop it in his 95 2wd chevy truck.
Has anyone done such a swap and can give me some pointers as far as oil pan and accessory fitment and recommendations?
The alternator is mounted low in the LS a/c compressor spot and I'm thinking may hit frame unless i notch the frame..
Maybe I should swap to truck pan and accessories?
if i go with truck water pump and can maybe fit 2015 truck radiator in there then I could use all factory hoses and reservoir.
he has the pcm and harness. Can these be run standalone like previous generations by disabling security?

I'm wrapping up a similar swap in my 70 C10. I'm using the stock Camaro accesories and eveything fitted in the frame, I may have to notch the frame for the compressor fittings. Keep in mind that they don't have a power steering pump unless you run the l8t accesory drive.
I'm using a knock off Holley oil pan but the Camaro one probally would have fit.
They can be wired to standalone just like any LS engine and the vats and starter check will have to be turned off in the tune.
