Smoke test intake

Smoke test intake I am just completing my first ls swap. I have a Gen iv 5.3 with fast 92 intake and decided to do a smoke test to make sure that everything sealed up correctly. I put smoke through throttle body into intake.
No pcv valve, small filter on top of valve cover on drivers side and hose from passenger valve cover back into fast intake valley cover doesn’t have vent hose. Smoke starts coming out filter on valve cover, around gasket on oil fill tube on passenger valve cover and through front steam line going to radiator. Would this be normal when doing this test or have I possibly vented this motor incorrectly?
hopefully that all makes sense.
Basically it seems that the crank case is venting smoke when pressured through intake. Sorry for the newbie dumb question. Thanks!

I have seen the motor run briefly. I think I’m going to do a leak down on it and see what that turns up. Thanks for the replies
