LS6 intake on 5.3 - PCV and Catch Can HELP
I've found tons of threads but nothing with this setup.
I was hoping to maybe get a bit of help here.
Current install:
Motor 5.3
Donor vehicle - 2004 truck (no valley in/outlet in front)
Passenger side front port
Driver's side rear port
LS6 intake
Stock throttle body
Installed and running in a 1949 ****** CJ2A Jeep
Not a daily driver
Red line - Passenger top of TB to Passenger front vavle cover
Blue line - Intake passenger port to rear Driver vavle cover
Green - (3) ports capped off
Questions:
1. Is a PVC required, and if so, any part number suggestion?
2. Is a catch Can required or highly suggested, and if so, what would it connect to?
Thank you to all in advance!
Passengers side is the Throttle Body to the Valve Cover.
Been working fine for years. Catch Can is needed depending on how much oil it burns.
When you say you have the PCV valve going to the VAC Port on the driver side on the intake, where is the PCV coming from? Any photos? What is the part number of the PCV valve you are using or referencing vehicle to order from?
It's a newly built motor and will probably only see 100 miles a year albeit dunes (high rpm) and rock crawling (lots of idling), but so far, it's not burning any oil.
Thnak again.
