VSS for t5 lt1

VSS for t5 lt1 Hello guys. So I installed a t5 WC from a 1992 Camaro 305/tpi, it has the electric speedo factory electric speedo sensor in my 1995 Camaro z28 (was a t56 car). This trans has the vss sensor installed and I know it's not meant for 93+ cars. I did rig the wires to see if itd hit but it only goes 5mph on speedo when I'm 55 on highways so I know it's not right.
I know there's a difference beween the sine wave and square signals but I'm just confused on what I need.
What sensor would I need to use to get this right. Preferably not the high dollar conversion box. I also read something about removing the convertor box from the car. But Id like to find definitive answers. And should I put a cable driven gear in the trans and use jegs sensor 105-5291? Is this the correct way?
Any help appreciated, can rewire and repin any thing if that helps.
And I know a t56 would have been easier but wasn't in the budget. Appreciate ya all.
Also the tires are 26.9 tall, 3.42 gears. I'm not concerned with tires as I may be going back to original size. Just getting me within 5mph would be great to start then adjust signal in ecm later.
