99 Silverado 4.3 to 5.3 from 03 Escalade

99 Silverado 4.3 to 5.3 from 03 Escalade So I have a 99 I ripped the little v6 out and I found a killer deal on a low miles 03 escalade
is it possible to swap this over?
if possible how? It’s my first time doing a swap on my own but have helped a friend last year do his 2001 but his donor was a 2000 Tahoe so it was easier.

Possible? Absolutely!
That truck came with an "LS" from the factory, so everything can be swapped from original components. And more importantly, everything will work like it rolled out from the factory with a 5.3

Just know there are small, but important differences between the 99-02 vs 03+ sub-generations.
There's also a good thread on that forum that called something like "Official V6 to V8 Swap" or something like that. Do a search.

yes do know they came from factory like that
I’m here to find those small but important differences because I have a 99 and the Escalade is 2003
i searched but found post 4 years old no updates tho or have really answered my questions so I made this post
