Yeah, when I pulled my donor engine out of the Saab 9-7X it came in, it was a pain to get all that crap out of the way. I used a reciprocating saw on a bunch of it, as I was scrapping the body anyway.
I don't get this kind of thing. It's way more work. You can easily trade a Hemi for an LS engine of some sort. I'm sure someone has one and needs the other. Then you can put an LS of some sort in it. It's way easier then adapting a Mopar engine to an F-body.
Good point about just trading engines.
It reminds me of swapping between automatic and manual transmissions. Seems every week there is someone asking from help in swapping in a manual transmission into their Gen 1/2/3/4/5 Camaro, there is someone else asking for help to do the opposite. Dudes - why not just trades cars.

Depends on the car. I like my cars in the colors and models they are, I can build any drivetrain in them I want.
That and trading cars requires Titles to be swapped, new Registrations... which entails spending money and dealing with the DMV.

All good point Merv.
While certainly you and to a lesser extent I and others have swapped drivetrains, some of the people asking about trans swap have little mechanical knowledge and will pay big $$ for a shop to do it.

Don't be ridiculous. All that's way easier than building the car. Especially if you are talking about adapting a drive train to a car from another brand.
Now yes, whole different brand mix match of drivetrain in a car is more complex, obviously.
What's ridiculous is I had to explain that, that whole reading comprehension thing...
You know it and can do it, or you'll pay for it.
