Gen V LT swap opinions?
I ended up with an L84 that lost a lifter and have been considering using it for an upcoming swap instead of a regular old 5.3 LM7.
I am looking for opinions from anybody that has completed one. I have been involved with dozens of LS swaps and I am trying to decide if it's a justifiable upgrade. It seems like the parts/computer unlock are more expensive.
I will obviously do the lifter/cam change. I know some of the earlier Gen V stuff had oil consumption issues with rings and I'm not sure when/if they got that sorted out.
Any thoughts/experience welcome.

GEN V is hit and miss
It's right when GMs QC went down the toilet and bean counters dominated the decision making. Keep in mind the aftermarket isn't as large as the LS family, so swap parts aren't as cheap
Control systems depend on what your goals are. If you just want the V8 spinning, then swap a port EFI intake on and it's effectively a high compression GEN IV LS. The DI and VVT aspects are what add complexity and expense
