Default 1 year, 19k mile conversion update

Hey everyone!! Its been forever since I checked in, I guess Im just too busy enjoying my car and school. The Camaro has been on the road for a little over a year now. Heres a list of issues you guys might be interested in:

1. Dont piece together a crappy fuel system!!!
I just replaced my aeromotive A1000 fuel pump because Im too broke to have a custom intank , sumped fuel system put together. If you can avoid it, dont run an inline pump without a sumped tank.

2. Wiring, wiring, wiring.
Integrating the LS1 into the stock 67 harness has led to some issues, but honestly fewer than I expected. Just make sure everything is clean and well insulated.

3. make sure your relays can run modern accessories
'nuff said

4. If your running a 98-99 trans, replace your slave cylinder BEFORE the swap
This infamous issue slowed me down at about 10k miles.

5. Check this forum frequently!!

Thats about it. The LS1 swap is amazing. I drive the car almost everyday and I love it. Good luck everyone! back to mode

How many miles were on the drivetrain you swapped in? i bought a complete setup from a '99 T/A with 43k on the clock, don't see a real need to replace it . but then again ,you may know something i don't, so should i replace it even with that low of mileage?

I honest have no idea. I purchased the drivetrain in late 2000, and its late 98 year model. The guy who sold it to me said it had 13k on it, but I have no way of verifying that, and after two years, that would be rediculously low, but who knows

Awesome! Thanks for checking back in.

It's hard for me to be that my swap has been done and driven daily for over 3 years!

John, did you use f-body hydraulics, or did you go with a custom setup?

That mileage the guy quoted you is totally possible. When I picked up my '98 6 months ago it only had 48k on it.
