Default 98 LS1 Engine is finally in 90 MIATA!

The LS1 and t56 do fit with a little bit of work! I will try get some pics up sometime soon...

I built custom mounts that use the factory rubber mounts. I also reversed the fuel rails 180 degrees. Modified the tranny tunnel, modified and lowered the K frame. Built a custom pan and pickup by modifying a truck oil pan. Installed the LS6 cam and valve springs. Did the ls6 valley pan breather mod. Removed the A/C etc... Now i just need to build my headers and wire the thing up, along with about 1 milllion other little details... simple right?!? Just kidding

Does anyone on here know where i can get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator to convert the returnless system over to a return style? I'm hoping to find a reulator that will attach to the shrader valve on the fuel rail.

Use a 1998 Corvette fuel pressure reg/filter unit. Check S&P for details. http://www.hotrodlane.cc/

You may want to inquire from our vendor's here 1st. I bought mine from Breathless Performance before the existence of LS1Tech.com!

Check with Racetronix. They are making one or are in the process of making one that attaches to the stock rails, is adjustable, and moves the return to the engine bay instead of back at the tank. They might be able to help. I think Thunder Racing carries their products.

try hinsonsupercars.com - he sells a complete fuel system for RX7 swaps with a FPR, braided, etc...

thanks for all of the info! thanks to Mark I found a NON adjustable solution that Im going to try first. 99 vette filter/regulator... it will allow me to run one line under the car, and keep the filter in the back with a short return line coming off of it. nice and simple... hopefully the pressure will be close enough...

im in the process of building the headers! its a NIGHTMARE! not enough space! after that fuel, brake, and clutch lines, then finish wiring... driveshaft is being cut/balanced today.

I will try to get pics up soon.

i really appreciate all of the usefull information!

btw, does anyone on here have the cableX speedo adapter? if so would you recomend it? any other brands that can spin my speedo cable?

That's the fuel system concept that most of us are using. I would think that as long as your pump can keep up, it should be ok.

I think that John B. has the Cable-X in his Monte SS.
