Default s&p headers

They finally arrived, only 7 weeks after they said they would, but they are here and look great and fit perfect. Not nearly as close to the steering box as I thought they were going to be, although #5 spark plug looks impossible to fit a wire onto.

Is everyone using custom wires? Or can you bend the boot to fit?

Its in a '69 Camaro. I converting from 350/TH350 to LS1/T56, actually originally it was a 307/PG that I changed to 350/TH350. So far I'm chugging along pretty good, slow but I'm getting there.


Another question:

How are you all attaching head pipes to the collectors? These are coated, so I'm not sure if I should grind some of it off and weld the pipes or do I use a slip over with a clamp?

I ordered mine with Stainless collectors, and welded them directly to the stainless pipes. You are right about their delivery time on headers, it can really torque your jaws! They seem to have a real problem in the coating area for their headers. Nice product when I finally recieved it, but it took forever.
I have never had a problem with delivery time from them on anything but headers.

no, the kit is complete with collectors, gaskets and stainless bolts. The collector exit is 2 1/2".

by stock do you mean stock replacement, like the ones on your website http://www.z069.us/69/LS1_install/LS1_install_q.htm? I'm using the original wires with the metal sleeve on it. The blue ones look like the taylor wires s&p sell, but I was going to try and use the ones the motor came with.

Im running Taylor wires.. I could see where the stock ones would be a pain..
