Default 69 Camaro - Headers - LS1 - Steeroids ??

I kind of got the cart before the horse..etc. as this project started out as a LT1 powered car. Anyay, I am now doing an LS1. I am running the BPR motor mounts as I prefer tha ability to run stock accessories etc.

Anyway, I am test fitting. Please see the following pictures.

Is anybody else here running BPR mounts with a Steeroid system on a 1st gen? If so...what headers.

If not, can you tell from these pics if any of the other headers would clear my steering rod?

Oh man... if this thing comes out like Killer, it's gonna be a beast. For anyone who doesn't know Chris, his '69 Corvette is legendary.

I can't help you on the Camaro, but welcome to the LS1 party.

Thank you. I appreciate the kind words. I am taking a different approach with the Camaro and trying out some new things along the way. I hope it comes out somewhat like the 69 Vette. Right now things are really on the drawing board.

I have not been able to really get any answers on this. I talked to Steeroids, but they don't know of anybody doing the LS1 and their steering.

S&P and BPR do their own thing, plus $1K for headers from Year one is out of the question........so,

I ordered a set of Pacesetter long tube non-emission, NON coated headers for an 2000 Z28 for $250 from a web based vendor.

I know I will have to cut or change them, but that's okay at that price and they are NOt coated yet. I have a local ceramic coater.

So...let's see........

Stainless works has the LT headers you need, but around $7-800.
