Default I might have frame damage!

I was getting the brakes done and an alignment on saturday. They tried to align the car but they needed to take out all the shims on the passenger front of the control arm but so they took them all out and still needed 3/16" more to move but there were no more shims to reomove. An another thing that makes me think that i have frame damage is that on the passenger side the rear of the front tire rubs on the fender when i turn. it doesnt on the driver side. i measured the distance with the wheels straight and the distance between the rear of the drive side front wheel and the fender is 9/16" more than that of the passenger side gap. It's a 68 Camaro.

Opinions please

Thanks

Kyle

Get a second opinion. Some of these shops have a bunch of clowns running the alignment rig. My first align wore two nice tires out in a couple of weeks. I don't think the kid had a clue how to use it.

Car's weren't consistant back then. Your body/front fenders could be sitting off to one side from the factory. I know I've heard lots of stories where in the rear the tire clearance has been of as much as 1 inch from side to side!

Yes - go for the 2nd opinion and the older the Alignment Tech the better. I had to pull my camaro from a tire shop when I watched this under 20 clown try to align my 67 after I rebuilt the front end. Not a clue! I prefer the smaller non nationwide tire stores as they seem to have more knowledgable employees.
