I got to post some more newer pics. on sam's site. Working long hours and being somewhat lazy doesn't help.......But I can't wait to get it toghether....there are 2 others here on this site doing the same project....just going in 3 different directions.....but its neat to see the different builds on the same stlye car. Thanks for your reply!!!!!

Yea....I most makes me giggle like a little girl!!!! I can't wait to get it together....just had some personal stuff come up....which has slowed my progress......but there are 2 others on here doing the ls1 swaps that are almost done....can't wait to here them talk about the way they run! I chatted with the dyno operater/tuner a week ago....I should be making about 375 to 400 hp at the tires....that in a 2500lb car.................can't wait.

That car will be bad *** if you can get it to hook up and keep the frame square. No need to laugh like a girl though...

The 5.0 Ford/Miata conversions were quite scary fast. And as we all know , an LS1 will eat a 5.0 for breakfast and still not be full . That car will be brutal! less weight than the Ford , more HP. What's not to like here?

That would be halarious if the car would hold it. I would definetly break .....AND I MEAN BREAK!!!!!! the CV axles first.....I chose a tr224/114 cam for the torque/ emissions/ power to 6200 rpm and to try to get 400hp to the wheels. Heads are hand ported...stock valves...comp 918 srings...ti-retainers...stock ls1 manifold for now....ported T-body....12.5lb flywheel....stock Z06 clutch....the block is a ls6 2004 model....t-56 trans....t-bird 3.27 posi rear diff with modded cv's to fit the miata hub's....a stock 99 formula aluminum drive shaft shortened to 28 1/4" from yoke to yoke.....the rims are 16x7" 15lbs....add the tires in...and the wheel/rim weight is about 33 to 35lbs....over the stock f-bodies 44lbs. Can't wait to it together!!!!!!!!!!
Mostford conversions are 53/47...I hoping closer to 50/50. typical weight of a 302 conversion is 2450-2550lbs....with a KenneyBell Blower about 2500-2600Lbs. Mine I'm hoping around 2550lbs. I added some bracing and the engine and trans mounts I'm making are alittle over built!!!

That's a pretty neat swap. I have a co-worker here with a Miata that currently isn't road worthy do to some brake issues. While it's sitting in his garage, he should follow your lead and do this swap too.

And yes I agree everyone will be looking for the F-body/vette.....and then go that is so wrong!!!! That is what happened when I put the lt1 in a 2000 sonoma....!
