coil pack relocation/heater box What's up guys. My brother and I have a 92' Camaro RS with a Ls1/6sp in it. The motor threw a rod and seized up on me. Now that I have to take the engine out, I want to move the coil packs before it goes back in. At least the passenger's side because the #8 coil is right up against the heater box. I heard that packs of a new truck work better. Is this true? If so what year and enigne option? Or can I do something with the heater box? Any advice would be great. Thanks Josh

theres a ton of old posts about how people did it
i bolted each sides coils together (4 odds, 4 evens) and ziptied em to my cowl, and bought a universal Taylor wire kit with LT1 boot ends....about $80 total
or you can buy a pre-made kit from one of the many sponsors on here

Yes, the truck coil pack setup using the round Delphi coils mounts 1" higher and gives complete clearance of the 3rd gen A/C box.
Here they are on my car:
I'm not sure what year and model they are exactly for. They seem to mix and match a little on the trucks between two types. I have these for $90 per side plus shipping if you can't find them in your area.
