Default which wires for the scanner

which wires hooks from the computer into the obd2 connector for the hook up . How would i hook one of those up thanks kenny

on the odbII connector the 2 orange wires are both ground, then you need a keyed hot wire and then the green wire goes to your serial data wire. hope that helps

thanks but mine has a two black wires one with white strip an orange wire and a purple wire i got this from a 99 or 2000 interior harness

both blacks are ground, orange is keyed hot and purple is for the serial link which is a green wire on my pcm. this is what I have any way
