1985 or 1981 RX7 plus LS1/T56 has anyone on here discussed this? I'm told the oil pan makes cross member modification a pain in the ***, I was wondering if anyone has experience with this.

clearance I'm in the last stages of an LS1/ 89 RX7 conversion. Don't know about the FBs but I'm running into problems with the power steering rack touching the oil pan without shimming the motor mounts. Won't know for sure until I lay the hood on but I may have to go with a manual rack.

doesn't your year RX7 have rack and pinion? The first gens have a rediculously small recirculating ball type steering system which I believe should stay out of the way.

have you checked out www.torquecentral.com ? They have a v8 rx7 swap forum and you can find prettymuch everything there by searching

I have there AND on RX7club.com...the problem is no one has put the new LS1 into a first gen that I can find on either, everyone does SBCs and LT1s
