Default sonoma swap

bout to start a 5.3 in a sonoma im wondering if i will need the ls1 acc mounts to clear my hood if anyone has did this could you give me a couple things to look out for

First off, there are a few guys on here that have done this swap. I'm in the middle of mine right now, actually I'm a set of custom headers away from the maiden voyage. Anyways, look on my website I have alot of pics and such on there to act as a heads up for stuff like that. You are probiably gonna have to use C5 accessories, modify your front crossmember, cut down the pan, and that is just the start of it. The LS1 isn't an easy fit in a s-series truck because of how wide the motor is vs how wide the truck is. Hope this helps.

the 5.3 pan clears with no mods apparently this is from another person that have did the swap 3
but ill get to that when i get there yea i just read the other day where the vette brackets are the one to use

There are only 2 ways around not cutting the pan and or the crossmember. #1 cut and raise up the tranny tunnel about 2 inches if not more. 2# install a lift kit on the truck so you can get it up high enough to clear the crossmember. I have the motor back about as far and I think reasonable with the T56 shifter location and all and I had to cut quite a bit. Good luck
