Help Hp Tuner?????? We have 2 Ls1 motors 1 1998 1 1999 we don't have wiring harness or computers I have a v6 4.3 in one and it uses the same 12200411(can I use this one?) Same part number.
I have found some pcus at junk yards. If I want to tune with HPTuner do the computer have to be out of the same type and year car or truck?
Sound like this is the right place to fine out. O both will be automatics.

Since it is a 12200411 that means it is the correct PCM for an LS1, but since it came from a V6 you would have to first have it flashed as an LS1 application before you can use your HP Tuners.
You can have a dealer do it if you can find one around you that will, or we can do the GM dealer PCM flashing for $50.
This will get you the latest available GM updates if there are any.

the PRO edition of HPtuners can do that.
but the regular edition wont... cost wise (since you're not going to be doing this all the time) its a better idea to send it to someone like Speartech or your dealership or some tuner.... they can flash it to work with your car..
then you can use HP tuners to tune it from there.
