Default 6.0 motor swap

I just purchased a complete drive train fom a 2003 silverado SS this setup will be going in a 72 C/10 pickup as for motor mounts will the same plates apply for the 69 camaro or is there a different set up. Now about the tranny can i purchase a two wheel drive tail for the rear of the tranny, not needing the four wheel drive or should i just use a different tranny. Thanks for the input

Edited: mis-read your question...
I believe the 4wd trans. and the 2wd trans. are the same. The only diff. is the 4wd trans. hooks to the transfer case and is minus the tail-shaft. I could be wrong...maybe someone else will chime in?

The output shaft is different. You can change it but surely someone on here needs a 4wd trans. If it were me I would sell that one and find a 2wd because to change the shaft you have to tear it all of the way down. It's a shame to have to do that to a perfect trans.
