LS1 in 77 Corvette - Help with questions

Hello, all, I'm still working a deal to get the drive train from a late model wrecked C5. My first thought was to get one of those tube frames and transplant the drivetrain and put the body from my 77 Corvette on top, but those tube frames will not take a C5 rear end.
So, my new thought is just putting the motor in. I should be able to get all the electronics etc from the donor. Any thoughts on the transplant? How do you run the electronics? I know I'll need an electric fuel pump but what else.
