Anyone using VDO speed sensor?

Is anyone using a VDO speed sensor on there LS1 TH350/400 equipped cars?
P/N 340011.
Can this be used with factory wiring and PCM?

The guys at Red Line Gauges did my upgrade to electronic instruments (using my original 1935 Ford gauges) with all VDO components. According to the paperwork I got from VDO, their sensor will work with factory wiring and PCM.
