Default ls1 rx7ers here...

I have an 86 that needs ANOTHER rearend and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with swapping in a different one. Any 12 bolts or corvette rears out there that would work? This is getting old changing out the rear more often than the oil.

i still got stock turbo II one lol...these should hold up to 400 rwhp

They can handle the power fine, they just cant handle any kind of launch.

There are 2 guys with SBC/SBF and a NOS shot running mid 9's@140mph+ with stock T2 rear ends in 2nd gen cars. '86-88 (S4) is the desired one since it has a clutch pack style LSD.

What kills the rear ends is the manual transmission and hard launches on slicks. Both guys above run autos which is softer on parts.

I have an S4 LSD in my '93 FD pumpkin. Many FD racers install this and are running 10's with no problems.
