Default LS1 fuel pressure...YIKES!!

While checking for another problem, I put a gague on my fuel rail and checked the applied fuel pressure.
It says it was 90 psi.
Looks like the builder didn't install a regulator. The car runs great but I'm wondering if that kind of pressure will damage injectors or other components.
Any thoughts?

I don't think you'll hurt anything but, why let it run with that much pressure? Probably just heating up the fuel that you're bypassing to the return isn't doing the pump any good. I'd regulate it.

for every lb higher than the 58 psi the LS1 needs, you will across the bord run richer this may make your car perform poor. not to say that you could be fowling your plugs. I would adjust to 58lbs.

It'll probably burn the pump out soon enough.
