Starter problem I just put an LS1 in a 65 Chevelle and i cant the starter to turn over.
I have all the wiring hooked up and the computer.
The stock starter for the 65 has 3 wires: 1) big wire from the battery and 2 little wires to go to 2 little posts.
Now for the ls1 starter i put the big wire from the battery on the big post and there is only one little post, so i tried both of the little wires and i get nothing???
Is there something im forgetting???

You should have a purple wire that goes to the starter it comes from the ignition switch and also goes through the neutral safety switch this wire should have power on it when the ignition switch is in the crank position if not you may want to check for power to your ignition switch if thats ok ckeck your neutral safety switch.

i also had the same problem this weekend... bypassed the neutral saftey switch, grounded the relay, ect....
turned out, the relay wasnt firmly seated into the plug... wasted 30mins of my day..
