Swap questions
Swap questions Hi everyone,
I starting an LS1-T56 swap into my 76 Datsun 280Z. Any info you can share with me would be appreciated. What differences are there between an LS1 T56 combo and a LS1 4L60 re wiring harnesses and PCM's etc.? I'm looking on E-Bay and around the wreckers here in Ontario and am hoping to buy as complete a package as possible, maybe even a complete salvage car. What should I look out for? I've found a couple of motors here so far, but the prices seem somewhat high (3500-5000) motor only. I'm thinking if I can find one in the northern states I may drive down and get it. Thanks

There is a bunch of good info in there that will answer a lot of your questions. Also thei site has a very good search feature. You can search the whole site or just the forums. Just ry a search on Datsun and I bet you will find a lot of info as I have seen quite a few posts about 240-260 and 280 zs good luck

Did lots of searching and have found most of my answers. Just trying to make sure I have everything in place. A4 harness is easily modified to M6,
but I still hope to find an 01 or newer LS1-M6 with everything. Anyone within 500 miles of southern Ontario have one?

I can hook you up with a complete turnkey motor and all if your interested. But Im in Texas. Let me know if your interested. Either way welcome aboard and goodluck with your project.
