Default trying t56 trans w/ 99 tacoma 4x4

dose anyboby know if i can find and adapter for a toyota or chevy transfercase to bolt up to a t56 trany.... thanks

if you wanted to use an adapter, you would have to get a machine shop to remove the tailhousing. Or you could just use a divorced np205.

could you give me more information on using the divorced np205. as in how you would go about hooking it up

The new Toyota trucks have a 6 speed... you should look into getting one of those. I assume you are running the Toyota engine.

Advanced Adapters most likely makes an adapter plate....

well i do have a kv6 but i am going to put a lt1 or an ls1 in it that is why i am trying to hok up the t56 to a transfer case

You would be better off with an NV4500 (super granny low with overdrive) which is better suited for 4x4ing. The T56 1st gear isn't the best for wheeling. There is definately an adapter for that.
