I just helped a buddy start on his conversion. Went with a 96+ stock K-member, and 96+ stock motor mounts. VERY simple to tweak the motor mounts, and the LS1 is very literally a drop-in. He slotted the K-member holes to bolt right into the car, and it all fits like it should.

BTW, am I the only one staying 100% street with my LS1 Mustang?

I think I can make the stock cross member work with some drilling. Mine will be a daily driver but it will be gutted as dog poo. I'm putting a carpet and one comfortable lounge chair... most likely a light weight racing seat that barely fits my 170 lb *** in it. Driveshaft wise, I need to find a totalled LS1 and have it cut, I got a quote for 125 to cut/balance it. Other than that, I will do a bit of fab to have the radiator held in place. I'm going to do the stock LS1 radiator + dual electric fan setup. I'm thinking of patching the entire coupe interior, so it looks very clean and wont have any issues if I drive it in the rain (and hit a puddle). I might also have my metal fabber weld some metal **** to block off all the holes. I want it to look VERY clean, yet still be a total race car. I enjoy my 2450 lbs.

Mine's being built just for the street. Rollbars are dead weight.

I'm gunna put one seat in it and have the dash put back in as well, other than that... nothing else is going on the interior . It'll get 28+ mpg and still run low 11's/10's on the bottle.

What steering rack did you put in it?? I was just going to grind the stock one..

We have same setup, our weight & tire all the same except for tranny mine is TH350 plus I have suspension as well. It should run low 11's on motor in the quarter...150 shot who knows what it will run low 10's
