Jaguars Anyone?
I'm new to the forum, but I think my conversion project might be interesting to some...
I have a 1973 Jaguar XJ6 ( Series I Short Wheelbase ). I've been told by the various Jag guys that an LS-1 cannot go into it. Every other chevy V8, including the big blocks, and the cadillacs, can. Therefore... I must try.
Long and short of it is:
I want to end up with a sedan that oozes class and leaves hondas sitting in a cloud of tire smoke. I think that the car I've chosen has the first half down already. I'm sure people here can help with the second half.
I have no fear of machining, or doing 3D modeling or design work. I have a line on a good motor out of a wreck. I will shortly have the jag torn down and sandblasted. Within the next 3 months I should be on the downhill side of the conversion to put the motor and a manual trans in this car.
As they say... this will be a great project with a little T.L.C. TIME & LOTS of CASH!
