Supercharged 2nd gen
Supercharged 2nd gen I finally have most of the loose ends done on my car and was thinking about ideas for this winter. Has any one put a procharger on their 2nd gen LS1 camaro/firebird? I was wondering how hard it is to mount the intercooler, and where to put it. If any one has done this what problems have you run into? One other thing I was wondering, how long untill my stock A4 takes a dump with the added power? I know that this might be a good post for a diff forum but thought I would throw this out there and see what you all had to say.
I have not done this and don't know anyone who has done it but this is what I think. The procharger should not be a problem mounting onto the LS1 in a 2nd gen. There is plenty of space on the right side just above the steering box. As for the intercooler I would put it somewhere between the grill and rad support. I am looking at my 71 and there is plenty of room just below the hood locking mechanism. You might have to punch some holes on the rad support. I am thinking if the procharger kits can fit in the 4th gen which barely has any space left under the hood then it should not be a problem to fit one in a 2nd gen. You have to the first one to do this and deal with the problems

From that setup atleast you know the procharger will fit. You just need to figore out how to route your intake tubes without affecting hood clearance
