i know the ls1's like to breathe up top, and the EFI style intakes can be considered single plane, so i didnt wanna rob any of the HP by restrictiing it with a dual plane. not sure if its any faster, or makes more torque, ive only had the GM intake on the car.
i got my 6.0 out of a 2004 model HD truck.
you can gett pretty much any year, the younger years do have iron heads, which you might want to avoid if you are looking for all out HP. they are an ls1 style runner, where as the aluminum head is based off an ls6 casting, just with a larger chamber.
you wont need any of the efi harness. the edelbrock kit comes with everything you need.
you will need to keep the crank and cam sensor, coil packs, and coil pack harness.
good luck, i love my setup.
its soon to have some juice on it.
working on it as we speak.

I'm curious what the timing curves look like with that kit? Any idea? It has three options right?

thanks for the info...very informative to me!!! doesnt edelbrock offer a single plane? and what carb are you running?

im not concerned about the top end cause it s getting afr heads, pretty large cam, and the carb intake before it goes in... are you running the factory bottom end and compression? my plan is forged pistons around 10.5:1 comp, afr heads (not sure whether to go with 205cc or 225cc), edelbrock intake, a cam a little larger than yours, with a 125-150 (thinking about the top shot hidden system... ) shot all backed by a t56. my goal is close to 480-500 rwhp streetable with a/c. just a fun car...

let me know what you think...

mine is a bone stock 2004 take out.
EWP, pulley and cam. im running a 750 quick fuel hp, but i think i should have went larger for future plans with a bigger inch motor. edelbrock hasnt released the victor kit yet, thats why i ran the GM intake.

your setup sounds nasty.
i dont know about 480 on motor, but you should have well over 500 with the nitrous. sounds wicked!
