How about an LS1 in a toyota MR2, mid engine placement and rwd now that would be unique and be able to handle well

Default LS1 V8 Miata is just the start

Working on finishing up my LS1 T-56 Miata and I keep seeing my son-in-law's engine business moving alot of engine packages including LS2s and very soon LS7s. The LS7 is my current choice for a future upgrade from my LS1 in my Miata as with no real underhood space left Turbos and Superchargers are out and I don't like 'em anyway.

He's also got a new prototype normally aspirated LS2 based motor that already provides numbers in the 650-700 HP range, HHHUUUUUMMMMM?

Talk about SLEEPER, the little blue Miata chick car that kicks the asses of Ferrari and Vipers

My co-worker sold his Metropolitan with a 460 big block and a shot of N20. That car was badass. No weight, tubbed and nitrous, scary as hell. It was so scary, he never even used the nitrous. All you saw out the hood was 2 carbs and the felt the groud shaking. So, I would say NO to the Metro (it was way to scary) but I wouldn't mind putting an LS7 (I would settle for an LS1 or LS6) into my Fiero. 2500lbs + 505hp = smokey burnouts.

Default A few V8 Fieros here

Yeah, we have a few V8 Fieros running around here, 2 with Cadillacs and one with a 4-bolt 350 Chev. Since you addressed the Metro idea I assume you've seen the Metronator (see pic) I also included a pic of me with a friends car we work on, the Viagra Rat 512 cubic inch 1000 HP chevy big block. The car is still owned by the original owner and has 54,000 original miles on it.

The last picture is my friend Bill's V8 Miata. Bill's taught me that anytime I think my projects are extreme, one of my friends proves me wrong.

Fun eh?

I'd be happy with a slick 427 TT in an FD. Add some downforce, and I bet that thing could be stable up to 200mph.

I'd be happy wid it!

Or maybe an early viper GTS TT blowing a cool 1k hp.

I just want something that looks slick, pushing close to 1k hp, and could still drive it everyday.

We're dreaming right? lol

Just for the hell of it, a MK1 Rabbit or Golf. There have been a few V8s in the past but no LS1s that I have seen.
